Q. What is the difference between stock cabinets and custom cabinets?
A. The main difference is the size. Stock cabinets are usually built in 3" increments. Custom cabinets are built to fit the space they are going into and can be any width, depth or height. Another difference is style of cabinet, materials used and finishes. We can mix wood types and finishes to create the look you want.

Q. Are custom cabinets more expensive than stock cabinets?
A. Short answer: not necessarily. For the most part custom cabinets can be competitive with a good quality stock cabinet. There are many factors which affect the price of cabinets such as materials used, door style, type of finish, pull-outs vs. adjustable shelves, etc. Many stock cabinets have ½" sides and bottoms and are typically made from particle board. Custom cabinets are made from ¾" hardwood plywood. They are strong and built to last.

Q. Will you design my cabinets or do I have to use an Architect or Designer?
A. Either way. I will design the cabinets or you can use your Architect or Designer.

Q. If you design my cabinets is there a fee involved?
A. I do charge a small design fee which will be credited to you once you commit to doing the work. Sometimes I will waive the design fee.

Q. Do you build framed or frameless cabinets?
A. Mostly we build frameless cabinets. We have developed details where we can build framless cabinets that are contemporary, traditional, or transitional.
  Q. What kinds of materials do you use?
A. Most of our cabinets are built from hardwood plywood veneers and solid wood. Those include maple, cherry, mahogany, red and white oak, ash and walnut. We also use more exotic veneers such as anigre, pearwood, lacewood, crotch mahogany and birdseye maple.

Q. Who will install the cabinets?
A. We install all our cabinetry.

Q. Do you provide color samples?
A. Yes we do. Since we make our cabinets from scratch, we can blend stains to achieve the color you are looking for. You can browse thru our color samples at the shop to come up a general color, and once your job is started we will create your exact color.

Q. Can I come to your facility to see the cabinets during the manufacturing process?
A. You are always welcome to come to the shop before and while we are building your cabinets. While you are there you can look at color samples. (see previous question).

Q. Do you guarantee you cabinets?
A. All of our cabinets are guaranteed for life. We use only quality materials and our craftsmen do such excellent work that we are confident your cabinets will last a lifetime.

Q. How long does it take?
A. For a kitchen, library, entertainment cabinet, or other large project we like to allow 12 to 14 weeks. Vanities and smaller projects usually require less time. If you have time restraints please talk to us. We will work with you.
